100xbtr - alhambra, california | furniture + lighting + accessories
100xbtr is small design company that self-produces a line of furniture, lighting, and home goods with an emphasis on balancing structure and form with an economy of production. The studio explores ways to create beautiful and profound objects, which can be manufactured in an efficient manner, blending digital fabrication tools like 3D printers and CNC machines with more classic techniques like woodworking, glassblowing, bronze-casting and ceramics.

2. cerno - irvine, california | lighting
Cerno creates lighting that reflects the aesthetic intersection of modernism and contemporary design, with a mission to design and build original products in California. At the core of their business is a friendship that dates back to when the three founders became close friends as young boys growing up in Laguna Beach, a place that shaped their professional and aesthetic ideals. Cerno's philosophy is grounded in the utmost respect for authentic materials, and the finest craftsmanship.

3. Another human - los angeles, california | furniture + lighting
Another Human’s aesthetic is playful yet highly considered, often blurring the line between design and art. Founded in 2017 by multidisciplinary designer Leah Ring, Another Human creates one-of-a-kind objects, furniture, and jewelry aimed at challenging traditional constructs of form, proportion and materiality. It is an extension of Leah’s passion for creating spaces that inspire and delight with a belief that a well-designed space can have a deep impact on the human experience.

4. base 10 - los angeles, california | furniture
Base 10 is a small company located in Los Angeles and specializing in solid wood furniture made with deliberate simplicity and exacting detail. Founded by woodworker and sculptor Joshua Friedman in collaboration with Lindsey Muscato, Base 10 is influenced by Friedman's years of experience in Japanese woodworking, and their furniture is crafted using traditional hand tools, joinery, and techniques. Base 10 works to create an impression of inevitable beauty, and effortless balance.

5. de jong & co. - los angeles, california | furniture + accessories
De JONG & Co. strives to live and work at the intersection of art and function - at a place where objects are simple and beautiful. De JONG & Co. was founded in 2014 by the De Jong family. The primary principals of the company began with the interior design of Ruth De Jong and the furniture design and manufacturing of Peter De Jong. Together, they believe that the goods you own, the goods that make your life function, should be measured against a simple utility and a practical beauty. Their furniture is a result of viewing traditional forms through a contemporary lens.

Klein Agency focuses on simple solutions to living well, while creatively rethinking the way in which people dwell. Founded in 2015 in Antwerp, Belgium, Klein Agency started when Maša and Jon Kleinhample had the idea to weave together their independent areas of expertise into one creative venture. Klein Agency is built on experience, an understanding of design processes, and a desire to give spaces, products and brands new, unexpected identities, rich in materials and attentive to details. Klein Agency understands and applies its design process in a holistic way, creating for its clients new untold stories, where all components come together in an elegant and coherent narration. Today they design out of their agency in the Arts District, Downtown Los Angeles.

Michael Felix is a handcrafted furniture company that designs and produces upholstered goods in Southern California. A 3rd generation upholstery designer, Michael Felix started from the ground up as a sample-maker’s assistant in the furniture factory founded in 1959 by his grandfather. His in-depth understanding of classic upholstery techniques makes for a collection that is thoughtfully designed, structurally engineered and made for a lifetime of use.

Brandon Morrison and whyrHymer have been designing and building unique, yet refined furniture and lighting in Los Angeles since 2003. Brandon draws inspiration for his pieces from his surroundings. Whether it is the farms and agricultural landscape of his native Louisiana town; to his everyday life in Los Angeles, full of diverse architectural styles, art forms, and the variety that a fast paced city has to offer.

wrk-shp is a multi-disciplinary studio based in Los Angeles, whose interests range from tiny mundane objects to large scale buildings and everything in between. Run by an architect Ryan Upton & an architect-turned-clothing designer, Airi Isoda, their furniture designs and home products are made by local, highly-skilled crafts-people. wherever or whatever they are up to, they are always considering ways to bridge architecture design and everyday things.

EARL is a family owned and operated studio in Los Angeles, based on a belief that furniture should be functional, graceful and timeless, for it has the power to create a lasting and meaningful impression. Chris and Amber Earl believe furniture is more than a mere object in a room, as the items that fill our dwellings uniquely speak to who we are, what we cherish, and the legacy we leave. Not only does it fill our living spaces, it fills purpose. It hosts conversation and laughter; creating new relationships and strengthening the ones we have. It bears the weight of deep thought and is a marker of our heritage. It moves stories from one generation to the next. EARL strives to build what lasts, together.
