1. Collect Pieces

3. Start with Largest Items

To begin, start by placing your largest objects on the shelves, vary their placement from one side, the other, and the middle.

4. Add Greenery

Now is a good time to add any plants or greenery to your arrangement. Adding plants brings character and life to an otherwise stagnant arrangements.

5. Add Books

7. Add Trinkets

Now for your smaller trinkets, stack them, add them, lean them. At this point, do not be afraid to move around your other pieces to find a visual balance that you like.

8. Final Details

Now you can really bring your arrangement to life by adding the final details such as grasses, candles, personal trinkets, crystals, and more. Find the empty spaces and fill them. Play with texture and color here. Once you have the balance that you like, ta da! You have become a shelving stylist!
